YACHTS IN PRODUCTION
YACHTS UNDER DESIGN
In the refined decoration, a luxurious line is captured with soft colors and elegant details. Metal accessories and lighting such as iron, bronze, and copper, where natural stone and wooden objects are used together with linen-textured products, are in harmony in the salon as in all spaces.
FUNCTIONAL MAIN DECK FLOOR
The salon opens to the bow with doors located on the port and starboard sides. The portside door leads to the kitchen, from there to the crew section, and the stairs and main hall; the starboard door provides access to the lower and upper decks and the master suite.
When you enter the kitchen through the portside door, the kitchen area of the yacht is divided into three sections: storage, cooking, and preparation/service. To protect the kitchen and other areas, all doors and surfaces are covered with air, water, and heat-proof materials. The kitchen area, where 7-8 people can work simultaneously, has handles fixed at waist and chest level to prevent accidents in case the yacht capsizes. The cooking area is designed for ease of movement and includes powerful ventilation units to manage odor and smoke. The preparation/service area is positioned near connections to the deck, dining area, and other spaces.
Continuing from the kitchen, a staircase leads down to the crew quarters. The yacht has a total of five cabins for the captain and crew. The crew cabins are located in the bow on the lower deck, while the captain’s cabin is positioned aft of the wheelhouse on the upper deck. The crew area also includes a kitchen, a recreation area, and a laundry room. All crew cabins and living areas are designed according to LY3 (Large Yacht Code) criteria. The comfort and convenience of the yacht’s personnel are given the utmost importance, providing them with more freedom and comfortable living spaces. The crew living areas are equipped with the same entertainment and automation systems used in other areas of the yacht, such as TVs and music systems.
CMB Yachts, known for its composite technology in producing over 40-meter megayachts in Turkey and worldwide, launched the new yacht in the CMB47 series, Liquid Sky, in Antalya in August. Designed by world-renowned award-winning designer Espen Oeino and with interiors by Beril Başaran of Artebel Design, Liquid Sky draws attention with its flawless lines and design. We had the opportunity to examine Liquid Sky during its Turkish premiere in Bodrum Palmarina before its world premiere at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in Miami from November 1-5.
ENJOY EACH DECK SEPARATELY
The four-deck Liquid Sky has a remarkable appearance with its high-standard composite hull and superstructure. We pass to the main deck of the deep V-hulled megayacht using the passarella. The spacious cockpit features an L-shaped seating group with a coffee table and a sunbathing area at the stern. Below the cockpit is a beach club with sliding glass doors, designed to provide guests with a shaded area close to the sea for relaxing, entertaining, showering, and changing swimsuits during sea access. The beach club leads to the engine room and further to the tender garage.
Access to the salon from the cockpit is through sliding glass doors that open to both sides. The main deck’s 78-square-meter living area, dedicated to seating and dining, is bright and spacious thanks to large hull windows and light-colored furniture. At the entrance of the salon, there is a bar area on the port side and seating opposite; ahead is a seating area with three sides surrounded by sofas and one side by a decorative fireplace. The dining area, with a table for eight, is separated from the seating area by the fireplace. Designed by Artebel Design founder Beril Başaran, the boat’s interior features modern and simple touches with stairs, a daily toilet, and a master suite with an office.
The 48-square-meter suite consists of two sections. In the center of the sleeping area is a double bed with a large LED TV in front, and a resting chair on the starboard side. Despite having cabinets in the dressing room, there are also two full-sized wardrobes. Beyond the sleeping area is the dressing and bathroom area, with entrances from both the starboard and port sides. The marble sink and mirror detail in the bathroom add a pleasant atmosphere.
Descending to the lower deck from the main deck hall, you reach the guest cabins. Here, two VIP cabins of the same size, features, and design are positioned aft, and two guest cabins are positioned amidships. The guest cabins have two single beds each, while the VIP cabins have double beds. Thanks to large hull portholes and LED lighting, all cabins are bright and spacious. Common features of the cabins include a large and comfortable area, a private bathroom, a work desk, television, and a wardrobe.
SKYLOUNGE COMFORT
From the main deck hall and the cockpit stairs, you can access the upper deck. The stern terrace has a dining table for ten people, a bar, and seating groups, accommodating large groups of guests comfortably. The space features sliding glass systems on the sides to protect guests from the wind, ensuring comfort as in indoor areas. The terrace leads to the skylounge through a fully openable sliding glass door. Opening the balconies on the port and starboard sides creates a wider and more spacious interior. The skylounge includes a large U-shaped seating group, a central coffee table, and a large LED TV. Beyond the skylounge, there is a gym on the port side and a corridor on the starboard side leading to the lower deck hall and the wheelhouse.
The wheelhouse has a 180-degree viewing angle. Access to the side decks is provided by doors on both the port and starboard sides. The captain’s seats and map table are centrally positioned, with a three-person navigation seat behind the map table. Equipped with all necessary navigation equipment according to LY3 and Unrestricted Charter Class certification, the wheelhouse’s entire steering system was installed by Furuno. A private bathroom and captain’s cabin, positioned behind the wheelhouse with portside access, ensure easy access for the captain. A triple seating group is positioned at the front of the wheelhouse. The bow area is equipped with sufficient equipment for safe anchoring and mooring. A 1100kg lifting capacity winch allows for easy lowering and lifting of tenders up to 6 meters.
FUN FLYBRIDGE
The yacht’s flybridge is accessed by stairs on the starboard side of the upper deck terrace. The spacious 123-square-meter flybridge is equipped with a jacuzzi and waterfall to enhance the cruising experience. The stern side of the flybridge features a jacuzzi with surrounding seating and sunbathing areas. A functional U-shaped bar is centrally positioned, with a recreation and entertainment area consisting of a dining and seating group ahead.
LONG-DISTANCE CRUISING
The new model in the CMB47 series, Liquid Sky, promises its owner safe, comfortable, and enjoyable long-distance cruises. Equipped with dual 1450 hp CAT Acert 32 engines, the megayacht has a fuel capacity of 51 tons. The yacht, weighing 490 gross tons, is built using GRP composite construction techniques. Factory sea trials indicate an economical cruising speed of 10 knots and a maximum speed of 15 knots. With a fuel capacity of 51 tons, the yacht can travel 3000 nautical miles at an economical speed, consuming 78 liters per engine.
