AFTER 5 YEARS, TURKEY WILL BE IN THE TOP 5

Başaran Group, which started yacht and boat production in 2007 while operating in the food, finance, tourism, construction, and energy sectors, has made its name in recent years with its custom boat designs. Hüseyin Başaran said, “They didn’t even deliver the boat I ordered in the Antalya Free Zone. So, I decided to enter the yacht sector.” Başaran stated that Turkey is progressing rapidly in the megayacht sector and that the number of shipyards providing quality services has increased. He claimed that in 5 years, we will be among the top 5 countries in the world producing the most boats.

Hüseyin Başaran, Chairman of the Board of Başaran Group, usually comes forward with custom megayacht projects over 45 meters, appealing to sea lovers. He mentioned that they build Europe’s largest composite yachts under the CMB brand and that the materials they use are more durable than fiber.

We Complete in 18 Months

Hüseyin Başaran said, “The construction period of a boat takes 18 months. Because we think about the next 5 years, the boat maintains its modernity. Now, 45-meter boats require a helipad. We have three 47-meter-long boats under construction in our shipyard. These boats are designed by the world-famous Espen Oeino. One was sold to a German buyer. We have a preliminary agreement for the other two. We are planning to launch our boats by the end of this year. We also plan to build a 75-meter-long boat.”

I Set Up a Shipyard While Building My Boat

Hüseyin Başaran, who entered the megayacht sector with the CMB brand, said, “I ordered a 32-meter boat from a shipyard in Antalya. When I went to check it out, I saw a lot of people working, but no progress was being made. They didn’t deliver my boat on time and didn’t build it as I wanted. Seeing such a gap in the sector, we prepared with the strength of our financial infrastructure. Thus, we entered megayacht production. Mystic, our first 45-meter yacht, received very positive feedback when we launched it and presented it at the Cannes Boat Show. Our second yacht, Orient Star, was sold while still under construction.”
