Luxury Turkish Yacht from CMB to American Banker

The luxury yacht built for a famous American banker in the Antalya Free Zone has been completed and launched. The 47-meter-long luxury yacht, named Liquid Sky, was completed in two years by CMB Yachts, a subsidiary of Başaran Holding. The 490-gross-ton luxury yacht has 5 cabins. Liquid Sky, the largest composite motor yacht in Europe in its class, will be sent to Miami, USA, after being loaded onto a ship from Athens on September 20th.

Hüseyin Başaran, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Başaran Holding, which also operates in the tourism sector, mainly in hazelnut and food, recalled that they had previously completed two 47-meter motor yachts. He emphasized that they built Europe’s largest composite motor yacht with the labor of Turkish workers, engineers, and designers, saying, “We sold this yacht to an American banker for 15.9 million euros. We are showing the world that our country produces quality yachts. The effects of the global crisis continue; it is not difficult to produce, but it is difficult to sell and market. We are doing the hard work,” he said.

Beril Başaran, Hüseyin Başaran’s wife, who designed the yacht’s interior, stated that they realized the luxury yacht completely according to the customer’s demands. Cüneyt Okçu, CMB Yachts Shipyard Manager & Projects Coordinator, shared their second 10-year targets and projects in line with their brand strategies. He mentioned that with a young and dynamic team of 250 people and a production area of 10,000 square meters, they produce mega yachts over 40 meters, establishing their presence both in Turkey and in the global market. Okçu said, “We are among the leaders in the upper segment producer group in the industry. Especially with our quality and know-how in composite megayacht production, we are a recognized, followed, and sought-after brand both in Turkey and worldwide. In line with our strategies, we will continue to work on projects that will create excitement in the sector in the coming years, such as Liquid Sky. We believe that Liquid Sky, which will have its world premiere in Miami, will receive great attention and bring a new award to the shipyard. Liquid Sky will be on display from November 1-5 at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show,” he said. Previously, CMB Yachts produced the 47-meter Mystic and Orient Star luxury yachts in the Antalya Free Zone.
